Spent 4 hours fixing a simple monitor arm wobble

I got a new monitor arm last month for my desk setup. The arm worked fine but the monitor would wiggle every time I typed. I thought I had tightened everything but it still shook. Turns out I needed to tighten a tiny hex screw hidden under the gas spring cover. That stupid screw took me 2 hours to find and another hour to get the right tool for it. Has anyone else dealt with a hidden screw on their monitor arm?

I used to roll my eyes at people complaining about monitor arm wobble. Thought they just didn't tighten things right or bought cheap stuff. Then I got this nice ergotron arm and spent almost a whole evening chasing a rattle. Same thing, hidden little grub screw under the gas spring cap. Felt like a fool when I finally found the manual online and saw it pointed right to it. Had to go borrow a tiny allen wrench from my neighbor because none of mine fit. Now I get it, that wobble will drive you nuts and it is almost always some stupid hidden screw nobody tells you about.

Man that exact scenario happened to me too with my gas spring arm, felt like an idiot after hunting for an hour. It is wild how they hide those screws like it's a treasure hunt.
