My buddy swore by dual monitors for coding, but it wrecked my neck after 3 days

So my friend Jake said I had to get a second screen for my home office setup. Said it'd change everything. I grabbed a cheap used one for $40 at a flea market. After 3 days of craning my neck left and right, I had a knot in my shoulder that wouldn't go away for a week. Ended up going back to one big monitor. Has anyone else found that more screens just means more pain?

Just one or zero screens is the fix lol. Your neck didn't sign up for that.

My husband uses three monitors for his architectural drafting and he's never had a single ache. Maybe the issue is more about your desk height and chair position than the number of screens.
