I think the "displays at eye level" rule is overrated for some of us
I tried raising my monitor to eye level for a full week after everyone swore by it. My neck actually felt WORSE because I had to tilt my head back to see the bottom of the screen. Turns out I do better with the top of the monitor at eyebrow height and looking down slightly. Has anyone else had a bad reaction to that eye level advice?

@johnh82 brings up a good point with that headache problem. The standard eye level advice assumes everyone has the same neck mechanics, which just isnt true. A lot of people find a slight downward gaze lets their neck relax more naturally.
