Finally moved my monitor off the desk and onto a VESA arm, and my neck quit hurting in 4 days
I run a small shop and spend way too many nights doing invoices and forum stuff at my desk, and for like 2 years my monitor sat right on the desk so I was always looking down at it. Last Saturday I got fed up, drove to Micro Center in St. Louis Park, and grabbed a $45 single arm, clamped it to the back edge, and pushed the screen up so the top of it is level with my eyes. By Wednesday the knot at the base of my neck that I thought was just from work was basically gone. I also gained back like 6 inches of desk space under it for my keyboard and coffee mug. Now I'm wondering if I should raise it even a touch more or if eye level at the top is the sweet spot for you guys.
