Went to a thrift store in Akron and found a PS2 with 4 games for $12

The disc drive is a little loud but everything works so far. Has anyone else lucked out finding old consoles at random thrift stores lately?

Man, that's a steal even if the drive sounds like a dying lawnmower! Did you check if it came with any memory cards? I snagged a beat up Xbox 360 at a Salvation Army last week for ten bucks, it still works but the eject button is basically a suggestion.

Found a PS2 with 4 games for $12" is basically my love language at this point. I finally found a GameCube at a Goodwill last month, only for it to be full of old french fries and a sticky note that said "dead." So yeah, you're doing better than me.

I found a Wii at a yard sale once that still had someone's Miis saved on it and a copy of Wii Sports in the disc tray, but the console itself was completely dead when I plugged it in. It's like the universe specifically wants you to find broken stuff or cursed objects at thrift stores, never the clean working ones. I swear every Goodwill within 50 miles of me is just a museum for other people's failed attempts at cleaning out their garage. Has anyone else noticed how these places always have the electronics that are either priced like gold or completely destroyed with no in between?
