Used to buy every Steam sale bundle blind, now I check IsThereAnyDeal before clicking buy

Last year I dropped $40 on a mystery bundle and got three games I already owned plus a racing sim I'll never touch. Now I wait for actual historical lows on individual games and stack them with free Epic drops. Anyone else find their impulse buying slowed way down once they started tracking price history?

Learned my lesson the HARD way after buying a "value pack" during a Steam summer sale and realizing I paid $30 for three games that were all free on Epic the next month. Now I use ITAD religiously before ANY purchase, even if it's just a few bucks. The price history graphs have saved me from buying stuff that was literally 90% off a week later. I also started adding things to my wishlist and waiting until they hit their all-time low, which usually takes 3-6 months. The FOMO completely faded once I saw how often games go on sale for the same price or cheaper. Honestly feels like I'm gaming the system now instead of getting played.
