Question about the $2 bin at a garage sale in Tulsa that made me rethink loose discs

I grabbed a stack of 12 loose PS2 discs from a $2 bin in Tulsa last Saturday, mostly sports junk I figured I'd flip, and one ended up being a game I'd wanted for years that sells for around $40. I almost skipped the bin because everyone on here says loose discs are scratched trash not worth the risk, but 9 of the 12 played fine after a quick wipe with a microfiber cloth. So how many of you actually pass up loose discs, or am I the only one digging through them now?
