Overheard some kid at the thrift store say old games are just "bad graphics" and it got me thinking about how we value deals

Bad graphics don't make a game any less fun though.

Bad graphics usually came with good gameplay because developers had to actually make the game fun to sell it. Now you can polish a turd with fancy graphics and call it a triple-A title. Thrift store kid is missing out on decades of games that didn't need to look good to be worth playing.
