GOG's hidden filter for $5 and under changed how I shop sales
Everyone always says to wait for Steam summer sales but I found the real deals are on GOG. If you click 'On Sale' then set the price slider to max $5, suddenly you get stuff like System Shock 2 for $1.99 and classic RPGs nobody talks about. I snagged 8 games last Thursday for less than what one new release costs on console. Has anyone else tried doing deep price cuts on GOG or do you still stick with Steam?

Oh man, System Shock 2 is great but you probably mean the original System Shock, right? That one's always on GOG for cheap.

Oh man, I kinda disagree with @ellis.victor. System Shock 2 is the one that holds up better today in my experience. The original is cool but feels super dated.

Wait, are you telling me @ivanl76 actually said the ORIGINAL System Shock holds up better than 2? I mean, I love both games but that is a HOT take if I ever heard one. The original was SO ahead of its time but man, the controls are basically unplayable without a guide these days. System Shock 2 at least has that whole RPG system and the voice acting from SHODAN still gives me chills even now. Ivan must be some kind of legacy gamer with a CRT monitor and a joystick or something.
