Watching my neighbor's peppers in Chicago made me ditch my big pots
I saw her using a bunch of 1-gallon fabric grow bags and her plants looked way healthier than mine. Anyone else switch to smaller containers and see better results?

Pepper plants are basically drama queens. They thrive on the stress of being root bound, like a rock star who only writes good songs after a breakup. It's the same reason some people put basil through drought stress to boost oils. The plant panics, thinks it's dying, and puts everything into making fruit and seeds. Kind of dark when you think about it.
