Turns out balcony peppers need way more phosphorus than I thought

Read a random ag extension PDF at 11pm and found out pepper flowers drop if phosphorus is below 30 ppm, my cheap meter said 12. After 3 weeks of liquid feed at half strength, I got 4 new blooms on my habanero. Anyone else test their potting mix or just guess like I did?

Wait, 30 ppm is the target for soil, but cheap meters usually read the liquid, so your numbers might be off anyway.
