My tomato plants kept getting yellow leaves until I checked the pot size
I went three months wondering why my balcony tomatoes were always sickly looking. Turns out I was cramming them into 8 inch pots when they really need at least 12 inches deep. Anyone else make that mistake with container sizes?

Oh actually 8 inch pots can work fine for determinate varieties if you prune them right.

Prune them right" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. Most people won't cut enough leaves off and end up with a mess of rotten fruit anyway.
