My south-facing balcony went from a few sad pots to a full salad bar in about 18 months

I started with just some store-bought basil and a tomato plant that gave me maybe three fruits. The big change was switching to fabric grow bags instead of those cheap plastic pots. They dry out slower and the roots don't get cooked, which was a game changer here in Phoenix. Now I've got lettuce, radishes, and even a dwarf pepper plant all going at once. Has anyone else made a simple switch that completely turned their space around?

Switched to grow bags too, total game changer.

Found them to dry out way too fast for me. Still prefer my old plastic pots, honestly.

Grow bags are meant to dry out fast, that's the whole point.
