My basil went from leggy to bushy in 14 days after one simple change

I moved my basil plant from a north-facing window to a south-facing one on my balcony, and the difference was wild. In just two weeks, the stems got thicker and the leaves doubled in size instead of stretching up all skinny. I think it was getting maybe 2 hours of direct sun before, now it gets about 5 or 6. Has anyone else seen a big turnaround just from shifting a pot a few feet?

Wait, are you telling me it was that easy the whole time? Honestly I've been fighting with my basil for months now and just assumed it needed some fancy fertilizer or special soil. Ngl I put mine in a east window thinking morning sun was enough but clearly I was dead wrong. Tbh I'm about to move it right now and see if I get the same crazy results you did.

Take that basil straight over to a south facing window and watch it go wild. I swear people overthink this whole plant thing when really it just comes down to sun and water. You dont need fancy fertilizer at all, just good light and letting the soil dry out between watering. Once you get the light right youll see new leaves popping out like crazy in a week or two. Have you tried pruning it regularly too? That makes the plant get bushy and produce way more leaves.
