My balcony tomatoes turned into a bird buffet after I hung string lights
Last month I strung some cheap LED lights along the railing to keep the space cozy at night. Next morning every single green tomato on the vine had a peck hole in it. Turns out the lights reflected off the pots and the birds thought the shiny red orbs were snacks. I took the lights down and the pecking stopped within 2 days. Now I'm stuck deciding between a bug net or just accepting that my tomatoes are community property. Has anyone else had wildlife go after their plants because of something decorative nearby?
