I finally found a use for those plastic berry containers from the Ballard farmers market
Last month I was about to toss a stack of them in the recycling when it hit me. I poked a few extra holes in the bottom with a hot nail (do it outside, the smell is something else) and set them on my south-facing balcony rail here in Seattle. Filled them with potting mix and put in radish seeds. Three weeks later I've got 8 little radishes going strong. The lids work great as a mini greenhouse for the first week too. Only thing is they dry out fast, I'm watering twice a day when it's sunny. Anyone got a trick for keeping small containers from drying out so quick?
