Picked the boxed brownie mix over scratch for my kid's bake sale, and the parents lost their minds
Last Saturday I had 45 minutes before the school bake sale and had to choose between whipping up brownies from scratch or grabbing the $2.50 box mix from the corner store, and I went with the box because I was not about to measure flour at 7am. My 9 year old helped stir and we cut them into 12 lopsided squares, and two moms asked me for the recipe like I had done something fancy. Do you fess up when people praise a box mix, or just smile and take the win?
