I just hit 50 failed macarons in a row and I'm honestly shocked

It started as a fun project three months ago, but now it's a weird personal record. My last batch yesterday had hollow shells and no feet, just like the 49 before it. I've followed the recipe from that French baking blog to the letter, weighed everything in grams, and even bought a new oven thermometer. In my experience, these things just don't work out sometimes. Has anyone else ever gotten stuck on a specific fail for this long and finally broken through?

That "followed the recipe to the letter" part is so real. I once tried to make sourdough for six months straight and my starter just refused to bubble, no matter what fancy flour I used. It finally worked when I gave up and left it on the counter during a weirdly humid week.

Yeah the humid week thing. Mine finally took off when I used pineapple juice instead of water for the first few days. Something about the acidity.
