Heads up about that new bakery on Elm Street in Austin
I stopped into Flour & Fire last Saturday because the line was out the door. Had no idea it just opened 3 weeks ago. They charge $8 for a single croissant and it came out burnt on the bottom. Anyone else notice new places skimping on quality just to look fancy?

Dang, $8 for a burnt croissant? That’s rough. I get wanting to support a new local spot, but if they’re charging that much, the pastry should at least be edible. Sounds like they spent all their money on fancy lights and forgot to watch the oven.

Yeah $8 for a burnt croissant is rough, I feel you. It sucks when places put all that effort into looking trendy but forget the actual food.
