Am I the only one who thinks store bought pie crust is better than homemade?
I was at a bake-off in Denver last Saturday and half the people swore their from-scratch crust fell apart, while the store bought ones held up perfect. Doesn't that defeat the whole point of baking from scratch, or am I just being a snob about it? What do you all think - is convenience worth the trade off?

Is store bought really that much worse if nobody can tell the difference after it's baked?

Read somewhere that store dough has more preservatives (which can affect texture) but nobody ever notices.
