Watched The Room in 2010 and then again last night...
I saw The Room back when I was in college and thought it was just weird. Rewatched it last night with a friend who'd never seen it, and man... I caught like 15 new things that made no sense, including that random rooftop scene with the football. Has anyone else had a bad movie completely change on them after a decade?

Did your friend notice the weird spoon pictures on the wall? My buddy Matt pointed them out the first time he watched it and now I can't unsee them.

Your buddy Matt is onto something. I'll admit I used to think those spoon pictures were just random weird decor choice, but after he pointed them out I started paying attention. Now every time I rewatch that scene I can't help but stare at them and wonder what the director was thinking. Really changed how I see the whole atmosphere of that apartment.

Right, "really changed how I see the whole atmosphere" - that's exactly it. Once you notice them, they almost become the main character in the background. I started wondering if the director used them to make the place feel cluttered and uncomfortable on purpose, like a weird, obsessive energy in the room. It makes those quiet, awkward silences feel even heavier because you're stuck looking at all those forks and spoons staring back at you. Plus, they never match any of the normal decorations in the rest of the apartment, so it's like this one weird detail that throws everything else off balance. Makes you think the whole scene was designed to feel just a little bit off, you know?
