The Room screening last month in a basement was a disaster but I loved it

A local bar hosted a midnight showing of The Room in a tiny basement room. About 12 of us showed up and the projector kept flickering every 20 minutes. Someone brought plastic spoons to throw but we ran out by the third scene. Has anyone else had a public bad movie night go totally off the rails like that?

12 plastic spoons for The Room is a rookie number honestly. We organized a Troll 2 screening at a buddy's backyard once and someone brought 200 popcorn kernels to throw at the screen but they just bounced off and hit people in the face. By the time the goblin scene hit half the crowd was ducking for cover and the other half was laughing so hard they couldn't breathe. Your flickering projector sounds like a luxury compared to that chaos.

Totally agree, had a Rocky Horror screening where the DVD froze for 10 minutes straight.

Wait, I thought Rocky Horror was usually shown from a Blu-ray or digital file, not a DVD.
