That time my buddy said watch The Room on a first date and I actually did it
My friend Mark told me to take my date to a screening of The Room as a joke test. I figured it was a bad movie night classic and she seemed chill. We went to the 9pm show at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin and she laughed harder than I did. Three months later we're still together and she quotes Tommy Wiseau at me randomly. Has anyone else used a terrible movie as a relationship test and had it backfire or work out?

Honestly, that's hilarious and I love that it worked out for you. But I gotta ask - did you warn her beforehand or just drop her in cold? Like, did she know she was walking into a disaster or did she think you were genuinely trying to impress her with your movie taste? That would change the whole vibe of the test for me.
