Talked to a guy at Blockbuster who made me rethink 'so bad it's good'
I was at this used DVD store in Austin last Saturday and got into a chat with the owner about bad movies. He said the real magic isn't when a movie fails at everything, but when it succeeds at being terrible on purpose, like a comedy that's too dumb to laugh at. That hit different because I always thought 'so bad it's good' meant accidental disasters like The Room. Now I'm second guessing my whole stash. Has anyone else shifted what they look for in a bad movie night pick?

Didn't your friend have that moment where they swore by Troll 2 but then realized they actually just liked laughing at their cousin's commentary track the whole time?

Did I spend three hours defending The Room to my friends only to find out I was just impressed by how bad Tommy Wiseau's hair looked the whole time? Yeah, that was me.
