Just found out the 1999 movie The Room took almost 6 months just to shoot the sex scenes
I was reading the book The Disaster Artist and it says Tommy Wiseau filmed those scenes over and over for half a year. How does a movie that bad take that long to make?

Man that's wild. Reminds me of shooting my short film, took forever for zero payoff.

That "zero payoff" line hit me right in the gut @dylanbarnes. I spent three months editing a doc I made about my neighbor's lawn obsession and the only thing I got out of it was a strained neck and a free bag of fertilizer. Worst part is nobody even saw it except my mom and she just said "the grass looks nice." Sometimes you put all that work in and it just disappears into the void... but hey at least we tried, right?
