Appreciation post: The weirdly detailed volcano model at the local natural history museum

I spent 20 minutes staring at that cheesy 90s lava flow diorama with the blinking red lights and realized it's basically the bad movie equivalent of a disaster film, complete with terrible acting from the plastic figures - has anyone else found a goofy museum exhibit that feels like a B-movie come to life?

Oh man, that volcano model sounds like a total gem. My local museum has this animatronic saber-tooth tiger that clearly runs on a tape loop from the 80s, its eyes roll back like it's having a bad trip mid-pounce. The whole display has these dead-eyed cavemen holding spears that look like they're about to give up and go get fast food. I'm pretty sure my own life is that B-movie sometimes, especially when I trip over my own feet getting out of the car.
