Yeah I used to think those lights were no big deal... but @elizabethblack is right. My neighbor put one in last year and now my whole living room glows blue at night. Really does ruin the mood.

Watch this happen all the time. People install these insane lights for security and end up just stealing everyone else's peace. It turns your own yard into a stage and kills any chance of seeing stars. This obsession with turning night into day ruins simple things for everyone nearby. We traded actual community and common sense for this paranoid, blinding glare.
