Moon filter was the wrong size took me 45 minutes to figure out
I got a new moon filter for my telescope last week and sat there for almost an hour trying to screw it on. Kept thinking I was doing something wrong or the threads were stripped. Turns out they sent me the 2 inch instead of the 1.25 inch and I just assumed it would fit because it said universal on the box. Didnt think to check the specs until I was about to give up entirely. Anyone else waste time on a simple fit issue that should have been obvious?

I don't know how to check the specs either" - that's exactly what I would have done too lol. I actually read somewhere online that noobs like us always grab the wrong size filters. I bet that telescope store sees returns like this all the time.

Grabbed the 1.25 inch ring spacer for my eyepiece and jammed it on there so hard I scratched the lens tube. Felt like a genius when I realized the filter size was literally printed on the side of the box in huge letters. My brain just skipped right over it like it was invisible. Classic me move.
