I finally found a dark sky spot, but my neighbor's floodlight kills it
Last month I drove 20 minutes out to a county park near Lubbock, perfect horizon and zero city glow. Set up my 8 inch dob, got Saturn in view, then some guy's motion light kicked on from a farmhouse 300 yards away. Anyone else deal with rogue lights ruining a session, and do those red film covers actually help with glare?
