Dropped $120 on a used 8 inch dobsonian off Facebook, and it got me back outside after my cheap tripod scope ruined stargazing for me
I almost quit this hobby last spring because my $60 refractor shook so bad I couldn't even split Albireo from my driveway in Tucson, but this old Coulter has been rock solid for 3 months now. Curious what everyone's first real upgrade was, and did it actually keep you out there or just sit in the closet?
