Can we talk about the orange glow from those new LED streetlights?

Our city installed them last month. The whole sky has a weird wash now. My binoculars show nothing but haze. Even Orion's belt is hard to spot.

Funny how they sold these as "energy efficient" but never mentioned the light pollution tax. Bet the city's saving a bundle while we lose the stars.

Remember when people said these new lights would be better? I used to shrug it off, but seeing Orion fade like that really got me. It feels like we traded clear nights for this permanent orange ceiling. My whole view of the night sky just feels... cheapened now.

I read that LED streetlights can raise sky glow by around 30% compared to the old orange ones. It really does make stars like Orion harder to spot. Your mileage may vary, but it lines up with what you're seeing.
