TIL my 'secure' coop latch wasn't secure at all after a raccoon got in last night.

The metal hasp was just screwed into the wood with short screws, and the whole thing got ripped right off (the raccoon got one of my Buff Orpingtons, sadly). What's the strongest latch setup you all actually trust?

That's rough, sorry about your Orpington. What kind of screws were they, just the short ones that came with the hasp?
