The Tuesday my buff orpington laid 3 eggs in one day
I got home from my shift at the hardware store on Ridge Road around 5pm last Tuesday and found 3 eggs sitting in the nest box, all from my buff orpington Henrietta who usually gives me one a day if I'm lucky. I just stood there in the coop with the feed bucket in my hand, because back when I started with 4 hens in 2019 I thought 2 eggs a day was a good week, and now I've got more than I know what to do with. Does anyone else have a hen that randomly doubles up like this, or is Henrietta just showing off for the new pullets?
