That one morning I found a fox had dug under the coop fence in my yard in Springfield.
I spent the next two hours with a shovel and a roll of hardware cloth, adding a 12-inch buried apron around the whole run, and I haven't had a problem since, but does anyone have a better way to secure the bottom of a chain link fence?

That's a lot of work for one fox in Springfield.

Wasn't there a whole news story about that? I read they spent weeks on the plan and brought in special traps from out of state. Seems like a HUGE amount of money and time for a single animal. Makes you wonder what the real story is there.

Yeah, weeks of planning and out of state traps? That's a massive response. What kind of fox was this, some kind of bio weapon escapee? Seriously, who was paying for all that? City budget or some private group with a special interest?
