My neighbor's dog dug under the fence and got into my run in Phoenix last month.
I came outside to find my Buff Orpington, Bertha, cornered and two others missing feathers, so I immediately reinforced the entire perimeter with buried hardware cloth. What's the best way you've found to really predator-proof a setup without it looking like a prison yard?

Did you bury the hardware cloth at an angle?

Honestly, is all that extra work even needed? Seems like a lot for a one-time thing.

That "all that extra work" mindset is exactly why most people end up doing things twice. Sorta like how nobody wants to clean their grill after using it, but then you're dealing with a greasy mess next time, right?
