That trail marker near Devil's Lake almost got me lost last week
I was hiking the Potholes Trail at Devil's Lake State Park last Saturday and the wooden marker at the fork was completely faded, you could barely read the arrow... I took the wrong turn and ended up a mile off route before I realized. Has anyone else run into trail signs that are totally unreadable out there?

Same thing happened to me on the Ice Age Trail last month, that faded sign cost me an extra two miles.

Two extra miles because of a bad sign? That's brutal. I would've been fuming by the time I realized the mistake. You handled that way better than I would have.
