Oak Creek trail is spotless now. Our pickup routine did it.

Hiked the Oak Creek loop last Saturday. Always saw trash at the big rock overlook. Started taking a bag with me last year. Now I notice others doing the same. The overlook had no cans or wrappers this time. Saw a group picking up bits of plastic too. It feels like a shift in how people care. Small win for keeping our routes clean.

This cleanup is just a band-aid on a bigger problem. People are still littering, they just know others will pick it up now. The real win would be nobody leaving trash in the first place.

Our neighborhood cleanup removed 50 bags, @sage787, that's real impact.

Exactly, it's like @sage787 is pointing out a weird rule of life. You fix one thing and the problem just moves. Clean up a park and people leave more dog waste bags on the trail. Organize a toy drive and suddenly everyone dumps broken junk on your porch. It feels like you're just managing the mess, not solving it.
