Just realized the mileage on most Cottonwood Lakes trip reports is way off
Everyone says the loop past Long Lake is 22 miles but my GPS read 27 over 3 days last month, and a ranger at the Whitney Portal station said the old trail guide numbers are off by 4 or 5 miles in spots. Anyone else been tracking their own miles out there?
