After weeks of work, the overgrown spur trail is now part of my favorite weekend route.
Having that extra mile means I can avoid the crowded parking lot and start from home...

Totally get that, finding those hidden connectors makes all the difference. I've been using little game trails to skip the main path too, way more peaceful and I see more deer. What's your new route like?

Nice, is it single track or more of a fire road? Trailhead parking lots are the worst.
