Warning: An old head at the hangar told me to ignore the intermittent fault code on a G1000

I listened and it turned into a full system failure during a pre-flight check in Dallas. Anyone else had a 'just ignore it' tip blow up in their face?

Honestly, this reminds me of a story I read about the Gimli Glider incident. The pilots ignored a small fuel gauge warning and it almost ended way worse than it did. So yeah, @paul117, you're spot on about how those small things can snowball into something huge if you brush them off.
