Walked through the new terminal at DFW and the wiring bundles are just out in the open

They had a section of ceiling tile removed for work. Saw the avionics lines for the gate displays and flight info boards. All the wire runs were neat, but no conduit at all, just open bundles clipped to the struts. My shop would never sign off on that for a bird. Is this normal for ground systems now? Seems like a snag waiting to happen.

DFW's new terminal looks like a server room from a 90s movie set. They spent all that cash on fancy tiles and forgot the basic conduit. One bored maintenance guy with a ladder and a pair of snips could take down half the departure boards. It's wild they think that's an acceptable install for a major airport.

Man, that's a shocker. Our team had a similar find during a terminal refresh last year. We pushed hard for armored cable sleeves over any exposed data lines, especially near public areas. It added cost upfront, but management listened after we showed them a video of how fast a wire could be cut.
