Update: using a cheap USB inspection camera on a CRJ-200 avionics bay cut my wire trace time way down
I was chasing an intermittent open on a connector in a CRJ-200 avionics bay up in Albany last month and got tired of pulling my head out to see where the harness was routed. I taped a $30 USB borescope to a coat hanger and snaked it behind the rack, and it let me trace the wire path in about 20 minutes instead of the hour plus it usually eats. My leads aren't rated for that kind of rough handling though, so I'm curious if anyone has a better way to inspect tight runs without pulling half the panel.
