Spent 4 hours chasing a fault that was just a loose ground screw

Had a King Air come in last month with an intermittent transponder dropout. Pulled my hair out checking antenna cables, rack connections, even swapped the unit itself. Finally found the ground screw on the tray was barely a quarter turn loose, fixed it in 30 seconds. Has anyone else had a simple ground issue eat up way more time than it should have?

Read a Troubleshooting article that said 70% of "mystery" avionics problems turn out to be grounds, and I swear it's TRUE after that King Air nightmare.

That 70% stat hits hard after chasing ghost issues.
