Shoutout to a simple multimeter method for antenna checks

I was working on a comms system for a Cessna last week, and the signal strength was all over the place. My usual checks did not help, so I asked Joe, a tech with great skill. He showed me how to use a basic multimeter to test the antenna cable while it was still connected. By checking the resistance at specific points, we found a tiny break in the shielding, which I fixed with a proper splice. Now the system works like a charm, and this trick helped me avoid hours of guesswork. I never knew a multimeter could be used that way for antenna issues. It just goes to show that sometimes the old ways are the best, and I hope this helps someone else facing similar problems.

Wow, I would have just stared at the multimeter and then given up. I've definitely used mine wrong for years, so this is a game changer. What other simple tricks are we all probably missing?

No kidding! I used to check voltage with the wrong setting all the time until another driver showed me. It's one of those things you don't realize you're doing wrong until someone points it out.

@jennifer_thomas38 most people can't even use a screwdriver right, so you're in good company.
