Rant: My lead told me to ignore a minor static warning on a G1000, and it cost us a whole day.

He said it was just a ground loop that would clear on its own after a flight. We signed off the plane, and the next morning it was back with a full comms failure. Had to pull the whole MFD to find a corroded pin in the connector block. Anyone else had a 'harmless' warning turn into a major headache?

Used to think chasing every little squawk was a waste of time. That exact kind of lesson changed my mind for good.

Totally get that. Read a story once about a data center where a single bad cooling fan sensor got ignored for weeks. The whole rack overheated slowly, corrupting drives one by one until a major database went down. The fix was a twenty dollar part, but the outage cost millions. Those tiny warnings really are the canary in the coal mine.

Ever had a tiny glitch turn into a full system meltdown?
