Question about those fancy digital torque wrenches for panel work

My mentor always swore by old beam-style wrenches, but I picked up a Snap-On digital one on clearance last month and it's been spot on for torquing down rack mounts. Has anyone else had better luck switching to digital or am I just getting lucky so far?

Old beam style" yeah my grandpa still uses one from the 70s and won't touch anything else lol. I actually had a weird thing happen with a digital torque wrench though. I was torquing down some server rack rails and it started beeping at random numbers, ended up being the battery was low but it was showing full charge. So now I always keep a spare battery in my bag just in case. Honestly I feel like digital ones are fine if you treat them right but they can mess with you when you least expect it.

Nah man I gotta disagree on this one. Low battery acting weird isn't really a problem with the tool itself, it's more about not checking before you start. Digital torque wrenches have been solid for me for years even with basic care.
