Pro tip: I labeled a wire run at both ends on a 737 and the ramp guy laughed at my tape flags
Back in 2005 at a hangar in Wichita I started putting little numbered tags on both ends of every bundle I touched, mostly because I got tired of chasing my own mistakes. A young mechanic out there told me it was a waste of time and looked messy, right up until a fuel quantity fault sent him digging for 3 hours while I found my bad connector in about 10 minutes. Anyone else still doing the tag thing, or has the iPad and the wiring diagrams made it pointless now?
