Hit 2,000 solder joints on a single panel today and it finally clicked why training takes so long

I was reworking a nav comm unit and stopped counting at 1,987 joints, then realized how much practice it takes just to get consistent results on something that boring. Has anyone else hit a random milestone that made you see the job differently?

Respectfully, this just sounds like you're overthinking a repetitive job that doesn't need that much analysis.

Has anyone really sat down and tracked how much time they actually spend overthinking versus just doing the task? I noticed when I timed myself, the "overthinking" only added maybe two minutes to my routine but saved me from redoing steps later. So maybe it's not wasted analysis if it cuts down on mistakes or makes the shift smoother for everyone else.
