Found out A320s have a hidden weight calculation bug in the load sheet software
I was going through some old Airbus maintenance bulletins last month and stumbled on something wild. Turns out certain A320 models with specific software versions can miscalculate the ZFW (zero fuel weight) by up to 300kg if you enter the passenger count a certain way. I checked with a senior tech at our hangar in Phoenix and he said he saw the same thing on a 2017 bird. Has anyone else run into this or heard about it from their maintenance teams?

Oh my goodness, I remember when our airline had a similar headache with some of the older 737s back in 2016. The ground crew kept coming up with weird weight discrepancies and it took us weeks to figure out it was a glitch in the loading computer, not the actual scales. I swear these software bugs are harder to catch than a mechanical issue sometimes.
