Found out a single static wick can pull 3 milliamps and I never thought about it
Was reading through an old ATA chapter 24 training packet from a shop in Wichita last week and it said a static wick bleeds off around 3 milliamps, which sounded tiny to me. But the packet added that a missing or bad wick lets that charge sit on the skin and mess with comms, and I've had two radios act up on a King Air that I never tied to the wicks. Now I'm second guessing every wick I've signed off without really checking the bond. How are you guys testing wick resistance, just a milli-ohmmeter or do you have a trick?
